Meet the Pre and Postnatal Fitness Coach Who Has Your Back

I’m here to help you experience all the things you thought were out of reach.

My education, 12 years of experience supporting the perinatal population, and my lived experience as a Mom to twins, has helped me gain so much understanding of the challenges of pregnancy and the deep shift that happens in postpartum.

Before having my kids I had seen how the fitness industry made new Moms feel broken. Like something is wrong with them and they need fixing.

What I noticed was that much of the fitness support available didn’t fully see or support the birthing parent as the whole, complex person they are - and too often, fear was used instead of education, trust and care.

Then when I had my twins in 2020, I experienced some of that lacklustre support.

This only motivated me more to create something better.

To do better. To be better for people who are doing one of the hardest things in life.

Even when my pregnancy and postpartum didn’t go how I envisioned, and my body changed in ways that were hard to accept (truthfully speaking, I still have moments where I struggle), I chose to keep prioritizing myself. I chose to keep finding joy in movement. And I want to help you do the same.

My Mission:

  • To continuously learn and apply evidence-based perinatal fitness data to support expectant, new, and seasoned birthing parents feel strong during and after pregnancy.

  • To help you feel prepared, supported, and confident in your abilities throughout your perinatal fitness journey.

  • To help you celebrate and love your body as it continues to show up for you, and to get you back to moving your body in the ways you enjoy most.

This is my home gym…

It isn't necessarily "Pinterest worthy", but it allows me to support my clients, to create exercises & workouts for programs, and it allows me to take time and space for myself. The season of Motherhood I am in now, with my kids being in school, allows me to be able to workout outside of the house. But in those first few years of Motherhood, I spent lots of time in my little basement gym.

Maintaining strength in pregnancy and preparing for birth, recovering and rebuilding our strength after a human comes out of our body, doesn't need to look perfect, doesn't need to happen in a beautiful gym space, while you are wearing beautiful workout clothing.

It just needs to happen and sometimes that might be in your PJs.

I believe the ‘something-or-nothing’ mindset is better than the ‘all or nothing’ mindset. Because motherhood is anything but predictable. Your schedule, energy, and capacity are not consistent, so expecting perfection is a losing game.

My return to strength training postpartum didn’t go as I envisioned—I wasn’t where I thought I’d be a year postpartum, or even two. The reason for that is that I struggled with postpartum anxiety and mom rage—feelings that intensified with less activity, poor sleep, and little self-care. It wasn’t until my twins were 9 months old that I started seeking help. Having a plan for my workouts, therapy, setting boundaries, and reminding myself that this was only my current season of motherhood, helped me manage my anxiety and in turn made it easier for my to show up for myself.

That is why I say ✨FUCK THE BOUNCE BACK✨

It’s okay to grieve what our bodies used to do, to miss what our body used to feel like, but remember our bodies are supposed to change. Especially when you use your body to make a new human or a couple of them.

We do not recover in 6 weeks.

Pregnancy is the longest marathon and while we recover from that and birth, we also have to take care of our kid(s) at the same time. Most of us are not recovering in a bubble where we get to solely focus on ourselves. Let’s not forget this is not just a physical transition and recovery, there is also the mental and emotional one.

Whether I was lifting lighter weights than I was used to during pregnancy or adjusting my expectations postpartum, I found strength in just showing up—for myself, for my kids, and for the life I’m building.

Let’s embrace this journey together, knowing that every step forward is progress, and there’s a brighter, stronger future ahead.

I don't believe that being a good mom means sacrificing every part of ourselves. Every perinatal experience is unique, and it's essential to show ourselves compassion while still pushing to make our physical and mental wellness, and our joy a priority.

I’m here to guide you through your perinatal fitness journey, to ease decision fatigue, and to help you prioritize yourself so you can find moments to exist as yourself, even amidst the demands of motherhood.
